Britannia manufacture complete AC Drilling packages based on ABB's digital drive and control technologies. 

The breakthrough for AC drilling drives came in 1994 when Shell/Statoil installed ABB and the world's first AC Drilling Drive at the Troll A Platform in the North Sea.
